June 4, 2007, Palo Alto, CA  -- AuSIM receives notification of award from Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Lab to be the 3D audio technology supplier for a three-year R&D project entitled State-of-the-Art, Multi-Modal Tools for Increased Situational Awareness in Sonar (SMTISAS) in response to the Office of Naval Research's Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) 07-013 for Capable Manpower Future Naval Capability.

AuSIM is the sole commercial member and sole West-coast member joining an all-star team including contributors from:

• US Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) - Groton, CT
